Since 1998, Rose & Thorn has showcased some of the best prose and poetry on the Internet. Our site was founded by Jasmin Randick as an AOL member page. After our first issue, Randick was joined by Barbara Quinn, an award winning short story writer and novelist. The two co-managed Rose & Thorn until 2003. After Randick’s departure, the online magazine continued under the stewardship of Quinn at www.theroseandthornezine.com. In June 2009, the magazine transferred management to Angie Ledbetter and Kathryn Magendie who are proud to introduce Rose & Thorn’s new home at www.roseandthornjournal.com.

Rose & Thorn’s literary journal is produced quarterly and features fiction, creative non-fiction, and poetry. Its blog, “Roses & Thorns,” highlights author interviews, articles on the process of writing and publishing, and many other resources for writers. The Rose & Thorn newsletter is emailed free to subscribers four times a year to announce upcoming issues.
